Making quick meals that are nutrient dense but equally satisfying are what we here at Hibiscusly Yours Nutrition are all about. The average price of a 8oz-10oz smoothie at your favorite café can cost $5.99-$7.50 per order. If you are looking for a cost effective way to consume your fruits daily then I suggest making smoothie bowls at home.

  • Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, potassium and water making it quite refreshing on its own or added to any dishes. I usually buy fresh strawberries on sale and freeze ahead 1/2 a pint for quick recipes.
  • Mango is a tropical fruit also rich in antioxidants like vitamin C and folate with benefits of lowering blood pressure and aids with digestion. Mango is also helpful for eye health, clearing acne and improving memory function.
  • Plant based milk are popular with a ton of varieties available such as cashew, almond, coconut or rice milk. I used almond milk in this recipe as a preference however beware that not all plant based milks are made the same. Choose sources that are rich in Vitamin D, Calcium and low in sugar.
